Activities

Griffon Aventure offers you 5 activities in Gaspésie

Canyoning

Pure adrenaline in the heart of Gaspésie

Canyoning, is a one-of-a-kind experience in Gaspésie. Pull on a wetsuit, follow the course of a narrow river gorge, walk alongside waterfalls, slide down natural waterslides, and jump into crystal-clear pools—this is canyoning, Griffon Aventure style.
Suitable for both beginners and experienced adventurers, the activity is led by certified guides in a wild canyon near Forillon National Park. Every outing is a sensory adventure: direct contact with the rock, the invigorating coolness of the water, and joyful shouts echoing off the canyon walls. It is one of the few experiences in Gaspésie that combines adrenaline, immersion in nature, and team spirit.

Forillon Park Cruise and Sea Fishing

Stunning Coastal Scenery and an Authentic Local Experience

Treat yourself to a coastal cruise and discover Forillon National Park from a completely different perspective. Departing from the wharf, you’ll enjoy a scenic boat tour featuring towering cliffs, dramatic headlands, and secluded beaches inaccessible by land.

Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced angler, join a local guide on a sea-fishing excursion and try your hand at catching mackerel.

This peaceful yet awe-inspiring activity is perfect for photography enthusiasts, families, and anyone looking to soak in the vastness of the Gulf of St. Lawrence. As you follow the coastline, you’ll learn about Forillon’s geological and human history through the stories of a passionate local guide. It’s the perfect activity for combining relaxation with a sense of wonder.

Hiking in and Around Forillon National Park

Wildlife and Flora Observation

LThe Forillon region is a paradise for hikers. Numerous trails, suitable for all skill levels, wind through mixed forests, follow rugged coastal headlands, and cross peaceful valleys. Along the way, you’ll discover the characteristic flora of the Canadian Shield and, with a bit of luck, spot a fox, a porcupine, or even a moose around the bend.

Just a few kilometres from the hostel, the Graves Trail and Mount Saint-Alban offer breathtaking views of the Gulf of St. Lawrence. With binoculars around your neck and a notebook in hand, you can also try your hand at birdwatching, as several rare species nest throughout the region.
